Recently I made a joke and he didn't take it the way I thought, we work on fictional story based projects together and I made a joke about one of his characters lines jokingly saying I'd fight them if they said that to me IRL, I apologized because it made him feel like he was doing something wrong, he decided to remove his characters line comepletly and that's on me, for me that isn't the issue. The issue was what he said next that ressembled the same statement I said to him months prior. I said to him(months before) ”It feels like the situation in the story got too serious than intended so I don't feel like adding it anymore” and that was because everytime I added comedic dialoge, his characters would turn it into something much serious. He did not compromise and rather told me that ”mood shifts happen” and ”The characters aren't real” in a gentle manner, also saying that made him feel like he was ”Saying something wrong”. …
